SiS LVM home Runnagården receives women with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse. We accept women with mental health issues as well as aggressive women with violent behavior. We also accept women with medication-assisted treatment (LARO).

Job Description

Do you want to help create life-changing transformations for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team together with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the clients living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified care and motivational work and provide support in daily life. This advertisement concerns department 4, which is a specially reinforced department consisting of 4-6 locked places for women with special needs. The department is flexibly designed to meet the women's needs for more or less stimulation and contact with others in the client group. The clients treated in department 4 have comorbidity and require individually tailored strategies and treatment plans. The clients in department 4 need facilities adapted to their needs, treatment staff who work methodologically and are skilled at accommodating, understanding, and adjusting based on the client's functional level. With the support of your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the fulfillment of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work, contributing to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. Being a contact person is also one of your tasks.

The working hours are according to a schedule of day-evening and weekend or constant night shifts.

As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training combines theory with a guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS's operations.

Qualifications

To succeed in your work, you have a solid positive view of humanity. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's values of being a place for change. As a person, you are secure in yourself and capable of performing tasks individually while offering support to one client at a time. You easily build relationships with clients and are focused on identifying their specific needs and limitations to adjust demands and supportive measures accordingly. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in stressful situations. You find it easy to collaborate with others and take responsibility for knowledge transfer both to and from others.

You should also have:

• A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work or an equivalent education from a university, or alternatively, as a psychiatric caregiver.
• A valid driver's license (B)
• Good Swedish language skills in both spoken and written form

Preferred qualifications:

• Knowledge of and experience working with clients who have psychotic issues; NPF, personality disorders, self-harm behavior, or aggressive behavior
• Experience in compulsory care, psychiatry, and/or working with DBT and skills training

• Be unpretentious and lower demands as much as possible in situations where there is a risk of stress, anxiety, and other negative feelings in the client.
• Have a good ability to maintain humility in the face of the target group's issues in more difficult situations, i.e., offer a dignified response based on a humanistic view of humanity.
• Have a good ability to act with clear boundaries when necessary in more difficult situations.

Employment:

There are 3 full-time positions available for day-evening and weekend shifts, as well as 3 part-time positions at 95.15% night shifts.

The positions are permanent employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
