Riddarhyttans Gård is a home for care or accommodation (HVB) in Västmanland.

At Riddarhyttans Gård, staff and enrolled youth live together. Here, young people gain knowledge and training to live drug-free every day, at all hours of the day.

We are currently in a restart phase and are now accepting girls aged 13 to 18 with substance abuse issues. We strive for our youth to feel security, community, and a sense of belonging.

We have 16 places for girls aged 13 up to and including 18 years.

We are now looking for a treatment assistant/educational therapist/social educator for hourly employment with us.

Treatment method: At many treatment homes, staff changes two to three times during each day. Co-living means that the staff at Riddarhyttans Gård work and live with the youth around the clock for a week and then have a week off. This provides a continuity that is a good prerequisite for building relationships.

Co-living and environmental therapy are our foundation, and to this is added MI and low-arousal approaches as a way of working. We also have staff with special competence in substance abuse-related treatment methods. It is an advantage if you have knowledge and training in any treatment method related to substance abuse.

Main responsibilities:

· Treatment work through support and continuous conversations in everyday life.

· Activation, work training, and motivational work with the enrolled youth.

· Communication with social services, care institutions, and other networks.

· Documentation, record-keeping, and reporting deviations according to routines.

· Meal planning and cooking according to routine.

· Cleaning and property maintenance according to routine.

Qualifications: We believe that you are a treatment assistant/educational therapist at heart. You should have experience in similar work with good references. A valid driver's license (B) is required, as the position involves some transportation and driving.

About you: We place great importance on your personality and your view of treatment work in a HVB home. We believe that you have a genuine interest in young people and in helping them move away from substance abuse and create a good life. You have a great understanding of different people and knowledge of how substance abuse develops. You find it easy to collaborate with different individuals and can handle conflicts in a low-arousal and constructive manner. You are clear and respectful in your interactions with both youth and colleagues. You understand the importance of maintaining a clear common structure in the environmental therapeutic work at the HVB home and convey this in a straightforward, clear, and light-hearted manner to our enrolled youth. You find it easy to express yourself verbally and in writing correctly. You are responsible, straightforward, meticulous, and attentive. The work involves cooking and taking care of our premises and properties. We strive to have a pleasant environment and surroundings in every way. Since we only work with girls at the accommodation, we only recruit female staff.
