Social Worker Wanted for Investigation of Youth and Adults

As a social worker in the Investigation of Youth and Adults, you will be offered interesting and varied tasks. The unit has a high level of ambition and a drive to develop working methods to improve quality, always focusing on the individual. About the Position

As a social worker within the Investigation of Youth and Adults, you will handle cases related to substance abuse, domestic violence, dropouts, and individuals with various forms of psychosocial issues. Each case involves two caseworkers, a primary caseworker and a co-caseworker. In your daily work, you will engage in a broad range of social work. Close collaboration with other actors and the individual's network is essential for success in the job.

  • thorough introduction after employment
  • support from senior caseworkers in practical matters
  • deepening and specialization in a competence ladder
  • support resources such as administrators and transporters
  • regular supervision

Examples of Tasks:

  • investigate, decide, and implement decisions according to SoL, LVU, and LVM
  • follow up on decided interventions
  • maintain contacts both for investigative purposes and to strengthen individuals' own resources
  • write statements to relevant authorities, e.g., to IVO and administrative courts
  • present cases in committees and boards
  • work based on proven knowledge theory and evidence-based methods
  • be familiar with and follow applicable laws, policies, and procedures for the operation
  • work and document in the existing operational systems

About the Workplace

In the social committee's area of Individual and Family Care, there are five areas that include both authority exercise and interventions: Reception, Family Law Group, Investigation of Children and Youth, Foster Care, and Investigation of Youth and Adults.

In 2024, the Individual and Family Care has undergone a reorganization to adapt to the new social services law, which, in addition to changing legislation, will affect organization, working methods, processes, and collaboration structures.

Priorities in the operation include ensuring legal security, providing good service and accessibility to our service users, and ensuring that the methods we use are based on science and proven experience.

Qualifications

As a social worker, it is important that you have a flexible mindset, are meticulous, and have the ability to find quick, legally secure solutions. You are confident, stable, and can adapt your approach to the situation. You prefer to work in a team with shared responsibility while also independently driving the work forward. In the role, it is important that you are attentive in your interactions with others and have a natural ability to understand others' perspectives and situations without losing your professional integrity. The job requires good communication skills, which means you can express yourself clearly and structured in both speech and writing.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

  • degree in social work, 210 credits
  • driver's license B

Desirable:

  • experience working with authority exercise within social services
  • experience working with ASI (Addiction Severity Index)
  • experience working with MI (Motivational Interviewing)
  • experience working with cases of domestic violence
  • experience working with individuals with a criminal lifestyle

Scope and Start Date

Employment type: permanent position

Employment rate: 100%

Start date: by agreement

Working hours: daytime with flexible working hours agreement
