As a security guard at Avarn Security, you have a vital role in protecting and monitoring security objects according to the Protection Act.

The task of a security guard is to monitor security objects and protect against sabotage, espionage, terrorist crimes, and serious robbery. A security guard has special powers to inspect vehicles, perform body searches, seize items, refuse and detain individuals present at a security object. Security objects are activities that are important for society to function in peace, crisis, or war. Examples of security objects include a nuclear power plant, an airport, or a military facility.

Qualifications

We are looking for security-conscious, social, empathetic, and positive individuals with inner security and a natural drive to help. Security guards work in many different environments with very varied tasks - we are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and has a clear service-oriented commitment. We also prefer that you can communicate fluently in English.

We are looking for someone who can work at least eight weeks during the period from June to August. If you have the right profile, we offer security guard training and an opportunity to step into an exciting and growing industry.

If you have the right profile for Avarn and you proceed in the process but do not already hold the required training (Security Guard), we will cover your training! The security guard training (9 days) is conducted at BYA, the Security Industry's Occupational and Work Environment Board. Participation in this is a prerequisite for employment.

Qualifications

In addition to the personal qualities we are looking for and describe, you need to meet basic requirements to qualify for the position:

• at least 18 years old before starting the assignment
• high school diploma
• good Swedish in speech and writing
• driving license B

You also need to be unpunished*, drug-free, have an orderly economy, and good health and fitness to be employed at Avarn Security.

Security guard training is an advantage for these positions. Other advantageous qualifications include experience in the security industry, some technical knowledge, additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, and previous experience working in public environments.
