About the Role

Do you have a great interest in dogs and want to combine this with a socially important mission where you can truly make a difference? Security guards play a central role in maintaining security at Sweden's most critical locations, such as military facilities, government agencies, and power plants. These sites are crucial for the functioning of society and must be protected against threats such as intrusion, sabotage, and unauthorized documentation.

Securitas is now looking for armed dog-handling security guards for full-time positions. In this role, you will work alongside your dog to prevent unauthorized individuals from entering and within protected sites. This position is suitable for those with a strong interest in dogs who want to contribute to an important societal mission.

The work as a dog handler is independent and often perceived as free, but with a great responsibility. As a dog handler at Securitas, you will have the opportunity for regular dog training sessions with our dog unit and instructor.

Employment: The position is a full-time employment.

Working Hours: The work is done at night according to a 5/4 schedule.

Location: The protected site is centrally located in Linköping, which means good accessibility to public transport. Parking is available at the workplace.

Requirements

• Approved dog team for protection
• Valid security guard training
• Valid training in handling firearms (HAS)
• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• Driver's license B
• Swedish citizenship

Security Clearance

As part of the recruitment process, you will undergo a security clearance interview, in accordance with applicable security protection legislation. To be offered employment, you must be approved in the security clearance, including an assessment of your personal suitability and loyalty.

For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you have approved grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns law compliance, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
