The Joint Management Administration consists of the areas of Support and Development, Strategic Urban Planning, Rescue Services and Safety, HR, Communication, and Planning and Follow-up.

The administration is tasked with leading, supporting, and coordinating the entire municipal organization on behalf of the municipal council. This is done by focusing on the needs of the customer and maintaining a holistic view and common working methods. We are a learning organization that promotes innovation and learning from both the environment and each other.

Within the rescue service, there are 46 full-time employees and over 50 part-time employees. The position is located at the fire station in Motala.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for firefighters who want to work with us at the Motala-Vadstena Rescue Service. You will be part of one of our 5 shift teams as an emergency firefighter. Together, you prepare, respond to alarms, and restore after incidents. During station time, you will work on environmental monitoring and tasks that improve the work environment and enhance the firefighters' skills. It is important that you want to be part of a team, are adaptable, and want to contribute to the best of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, you must have:

• C driver's license
• Training in SMO (Protection against Accidents) ongoing studies are acceptable, provided that the training is completed by summer 2026.
• Alternatively, GRIB (part-time firefighter) or other training deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Training for municipal rescue services
• Swimming skills corresponding to the Gold Badge, attach certificate in the application.
• Approved age-related treadmill test, the certificate must be no older than three months.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have a degree from SMO.
• Have experience working as a firefighter (full-time).
• Hold a service certificate for smoke diving.
