In the parking unit, we are 18 dedicated individuals working to create the safest and most accessible environment possible for those in Norrköping.

Our mission comes from the Urban Planning Committee. The tasks in the unit include parking supervision, operation and maintenance of parking machines, as well as some administration.

With us, you will have the opportunity to undergo paid training in public law parking upon employment. It is a four-week training program that is partially held in another location. During these four weeks, you will receive a mix of theory and practice to feel secure in your role as a parking attendant.

Your Responsibilities

You will have a free and varied job with important responsibilities, where you work to promote traffic safety, accessibility, and mobility.

As a parking attendant, you will monitor parked cars in the municipality of Norrköping to ensure that parking regulations are followed.

In your work, you will meet many people and be the face of Norrköping municipality. You are responsible for addressing questions from residents and upholding laws and regulations regarding public parking.

You will be outdoors in all weather conditions, and most of the work is done on foot, making it suitable for those with good physical fitness who enjoy being active. You will often work alongside your colleagues, but there will also be times when you work alone.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has completed secondary education. You have previous experience working as a parking attendant, in the security industry, or in similar roles where you have been responsible for maintaining order and safety.

A B driver's license is a requirement for the position, and we prefer candidates with good local knowledge.

You are accustomed to meeting people in various situations and emotional states. As a person, you value service highly and see it as a given to treat others in a calm and pleasant manner.

You are attentive in your collaboration and are driven to contribute positively to your team.

You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Additionally, you have strong communication skills and can adapt your way of expressing yourself based on who you are speaking with.

To thrive in this role, we see that you are confident in yourself and have the ability to make wise decisions considering all available information and possible alternatives. You take responsibility for your work and can easily adapt to changing circumstances.
