Procurement Officer for Security Protection (SUA)

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is expanding – we are building new, renovating, and adding on, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, detention centers, and client transport.

The workplace is located at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's headquarters in Norrköping, where the work is carried out together with other personnel working with security-protected procurement and information security. The Security Department consists of approximately 130 people who are represented at many of the authority's operational locations and together with prisons, detention centers, and probation form the core operations of the authority.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Procurement Officer for Security Protection (SUA), you are responsible for ensuring that the documents produced in the process are handled correctly according to applicable legislation and for maintaining the internal document registers and records created regarding SUA. Furthermore, it includes conducting background checks on contractors together with the authority's registration control function and monitoring when security protection agreements with attached background checks should be terminated. The job responsibilities also include handling the mail processing and functional mailbox of the SUA process and supporting the operations and specialists in their daily work regarding this and related issues. The position may be expanded with additional supportive tasks related to security protection, information security, and signal protection.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Completed upper secondary education in the form of a diploma or high school graduation
  • Several years of experience in administrative tasks, minute-taking, and documentation
  • Experience in case management or record keeping
  • Good ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Post-secondary education in security protection
  • Experience working with security-protected procurements
  • Experience in similar tasks within or in collaboration with a government agency
  • Experience in record-keeping
  • Ability to express yourself well in spoken and written English
  • Basic knowledge of security protection legislation
