SAAB Business Unit Gripen in Tannefors, Linköping, is in a phase of strong growth and is now looking for an experienced occupational health consultant who wants to contribute operationally and tactically to our systematic work environment efforts.

Your Responsibilities

As an occupational health consultant, you will support workshop managers and production leaders in the daily work environment efforts within the assembly and final assembly & delivery departments. Your role involves planning, implementing, and following up on work environment activities in accordance with the annual cycle, as well as actively contributing with improvement proposals and development initiatives. You will work closely with the existing HSE organization and the safety organization and report to the HSE manager for Fighter Production.

Your main responsibilities: • Support workshop managers and production leaders in daily work environment efforts close to production. • Plan, coordinate, and follow up on annual cycle activities related to work environment. • Participate in and drive risk assessments, safety rounds, and work environment follow-ups. • Contribute to improvements in routines and working methods to create a sustainable workplace in the long term. • Assist in and drive investigations, action plans, and follow-ups of work environment incidents. • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal guidelines regarding work environment.

You are a good communicator and enjoy tackling both larger, complex tasks and simpler work assignments. You are unpretentious and work to improve daily operations. You are self-driven, solution-oriented, and proactive, and enjoy managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

We are looking for someone who thrives in working independently and taking responsibility while being able to lead projects forward with high drive and engagement. You find it easy to collaborate and create structure in your work. Your accuracy and sense of order help you see the big picture while also having an eye for detail – all to ensure a safe and sustainable work environment.

We are looking for someone who has: • Relevant education in occupational health, such as occupational health engineer, behavioral science with a focus on occupational health, or other equivalent education. • Experience in work environment efforts, including completed projects and assignments. Experience from heavy industry is an advantage. • Experience in conducting risk assessments, safety rounds, and investigating work environment incidents. • Very good knowledge of work environment legislation and the ability to translate that knowledge into practical solutions. • Experience in chemical handling is an advantage. • The ability to work systematically and a good ability to drive improvement work. • The ability to work proactively and solution-oriented. • Good communication skills and the ability to convey work environment issues clearly to both managers and employees. • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification placement, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
