Söderköping's Outdoor Bath is centrally located in the city, near the bus station and other sports facilities. Here you will find a 50-meter pool, two smaller pools (one used for swimming lessons), and a children's pool. The area also features a playground with a slide, swings, and a sandbox, a beach volleyball court, large green areas, and a kiosk.
During the summer, seven lifeguards work in two shifts. There is also other staff who manage the operation of the bath. Together, we ensure that the Outdoor Bath is a safe and pleasant place for both bathers and visitors.
As a lifeguard, you will be part of a team and one of the faces of the Outdoor Bath. We are now looking for lifeguards for the summer of 2026 and are looking for those who enjoy working with people, are responsible, and want an active and social summer job.
Job Description
Working as a lifeguard is more than just keeping an eye on the bath. You move around the pools, are there for the guests, and help create a safe, fun, and welcoming atmosphere at the Outdoor Bath.
As a lifeguard, you help ensure that everyone follows the rules, keeps the area tidy, and feels safe. You meet many people every day, so a cheerful demeanor and good service are an important part of the job. The goal is for our guests to enjoy themselves and want to come back!
At public bathing times, there is always staff responsible for monitoring the bath. The tasks, such as monitoring, entrance work, and maintenance of the facility, are varied and distributed among the staff during shifts.
Qualifications
Minimum age: 18 years.
Good swimming skills and a high level of comfort in water.
Desirable but not required: experience with cash handling.
We are looking for service-oriented individuals who enjoy meeting people and working together with others.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
A background check will be requested before an offer of employment is made.
All staff must have completed CPR and practical lifesaving exercises and First Aid L-ABC. The employer organizes an annual seasonal introduction where time is allocated for training individually and in groups in these skills. Therefore, you are required to attend this introduction to be eligible for employment.
