Your responsibilities

You now have the chance to take on a key role as we strengthen governance and working methods in our information and IT security organization. We have established a completely new role and need someone to lead and develop the work with strategic information security. Together with the IT security manager, you will coordinate the information and IT security work in the municipality.

Your mission as the information security manager is to design, lead, support, follow up, evaluate, and improve the municipal-wide information security work. With a holistic perspective and a solution-oriented approach, you will coordinate the strategic information security work to establish a good information security culture.

Some of the important tasks include:

• developing goals and annual plans for the municipal-wide strategic information security work and ensuring their implementation
• developing and managing municipal-wide governing and supporting documents
• acting as a methodological support and providing advice to administrations and committees
• educating and promoting a good information security culture
• leading the network for the municipality's information security coordinators and supporting them in their tasks
• together with the IT security manager, being responsible for maintaining a constantly updated municipal-wide overview of information security risks and vulnerabilities
• reporting to management and the municipal director through management reviews
• collaborating with various stakeholders, both within and outside the organization

Your workplace

You will belong to the Legal unit, which is one of the units in the Municipal Executive Office, part of the Municipal Executive Administration. The Legal unit is responsible for municipal-wide legal issues, information security, and provides data protection officers for the municipality and its municipal companies.

Who you are

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree or equivalent knowledge and experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have solid experience working with information security, and it is advantageous if you have worked on implementing an information security management system in an organization. We also expect experience working with ISO27001/2 and NIS/NIS2. We also see that you have experience in communication, follow-up, and management of operations, as this is a strategic role.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Certifications in information security such as CISSP or similar
• Experience working with information security in a larger organization and context
• Experience working in the public sector or other critical societal functions with regulatory requirements for information security
