The Rescue Mission is a non-profit organization that has been conducting social work based on Christian values since the early 1950s through around 30 different activities. We dream of a city where no one is left behind. Where all people can live a dignified life.
We are now looking for someone who wants to work as a payroll administrator in our central payroll function together with us towards our vision; a dignified life for all!
Our central payroll function consists of two employees and is part of the finance team. Together, you currently manage about 360 salaries each month, for both employees and workers, within two different legal entities and several collective agreements. As a payroll administrator, you will, together with a colleague, take care of the entire payroll process, from collecting payroll data to reporting and payment. At the same time, the role involves being an important support function regarding laws, agreements, and payroll-related questions towards the operations.
In 2025, we have implemented a new HR and payroll system, Flex HRM. The work also includes working with system management and further development of our internal processes together with your payroll colleague and the HR department.
Responsibilities
Prepare and execute all steps in a payroll run
Reporting to various authorities
Compile payroll-related information needed for financial reporting in connection with monthly and annual accounts
Provide support and answer questions from managers and employees regarding payroll-related issues
Participation in the maintenance of the payroll system and development in the payroll area through continued digitization and process development
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with broad experience and competence in the payroll area. You work in a structured and meticulous manner, while also being self-driven and taking responsibility for your tasks. Collaboration is important to us, and you easily create good relationships and build trust. The role means that you sometimes need to explain complex issues in a simple way, so we appreciate a strong pedagogical ability. You are flexible and adaptable when circumstances change, but also stable and secure in your competence and working methods. We believe you share our conviction about meetings at eye level and every person's right to a dignified life.
You have:
post-secondary education with a focus on payroll/economics or equivalent.
at least 2 years of documented experience in independent and qualified payroll work.
good ability to express and formulate yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
interest in the work of the Rescue Mission.
read and share the values of the Rescue Mission.

Meritorious
It is meritorious if you also:
have previous experience working in Flex HRM
have previous experience with our collective agreements and vacation pay management
have worked with scheduling issues within the healthcare and social care sector or other personnel-intensive and schedule-driven operations
Employment Conditions
Employment type: Permanent with a 6-month probationary period
Scope: 50%
Working hours: Daytime by agreement
Start date: March 1, 2026, or by agreement
Collective agreement: We are affiliated with the employer organization Fremia and apply Visions collective agreement “Health, care, and other care”. Recruitment: Before employment, we take references and request an extract from the criminal record.
