Business Developer and Reporting Specialist

The position is located in the Finance Department, led by the agency's Chief Financial Officer. The department has overall operational responsibility for the agency's economic and financial matters. This includes financial management, coordination, support, and monitoring of budget and financial reporting, including forecasting, operational analysis, and reporting.

The department collaborates with all overarching functions of the agency and supports the operations, among other things, with BI analysis and decision-making materials from agency management to operational decision-makers. By providing the operations with the right reports and accurate data, we enable analysis, fact-based decision-making, and change management.

Main Responsibilities

As a business developer and reporting specialist, you will be responsible for the creation, distribution, maintenance, and reporting of operational data. By analyzing and validating data, identifying opportunities to integrate data sources into our BI system – Qlik Sense – you will be a key to realizing business benefits for the operations. Transforming the needs of the operations into clear IT requirements will be a natural part of your role. In the role of business developer, where you will act as a reporting specialist, you will also be responsible for:

• Being the expert in the BI area within the agency
• Driving the further development of the area and taking new steps for the agency's strategic management and monitoring
• Developing reports, key figures, indicators, and models in close collaboration with operational representatives and suppliers
• Developing methods and processes for an efficient reporting process
• Acting as support for the operations in reporting issues

In this role, it is important that you are self-driven and results-oriented and possess a good ability to independently prioritize and deliver among your tasks. You are skilled at collaborating and building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and you have a solution-oriented approach. As a person, you are also analytical and methodical and enjoy having structure in your work. You are unpretentious and enjoy working together with others, contributing positively to a good work environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in, for example, computer science/system science/informatics or equivalent education/experience that the employer deems equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience in developing reports in a BI tool

Furthermore, you should have the following abilities:

• To communicate very well in Swedish, both spoken and written
• To choose based on the whole what should be done and in what order, having good structure
• To take responsibility for your tasks independently
• To convey complex information so that others understand
• To build and strengthen relationships
• To present opportunities for development
• To create good collaboration with other parties

Additionally, it is advantageous if you have:

• Experience in developing reports in Qlik Sense
• Experience working with SQL
• Familiarity with handling large data sets
• Experience with agile working methods
• Experience working in a government agency

Other

The employment is 100% and permanent. We usually apply a six-month probationary period. The position is located in Gävle or Stockholm. There is an opportunity to work remotely up to 49% of the time. This position requires a security clearance as per the Security Protection Act. As an employee, you may also be placed in a war position based on the needs of total defense.
