Job Description

Our accounting unit consists of nine economists and administrators who quality assure and implement all parts of the economic process, from invoicing to financial statements. The unit is responsible for the authority's financial system, customer, supplier, and asset accounting, as well as invoicing and financial statements. The responsibility also involves acting as advisory, normative, and supportive to the head office and its approximately 30 institutions, located across Sweden from north to south.

As a senior accounting economist with us, you will be responsible for ongoing accounting, monthly and annual financial statements, monthly reporting in Hermes, and ensuring compliance with regulations and ordinances for state accounting. Within the accounting unit, collaboration among colleagues is strong, where we together want to promote a positive work environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in accounting or another relevant education that the employer assesses as equivalent
• Current multi-year experience as an accounting economist
• Current experience with state accounting
• Experience in independently handling financial statements, both monthly and annual
• High IT maturity with good knowledge of the Office suite, primarily Excel
• Very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience in reporting in Hermes
• Operational experience with the financial system Unit 4 ERP (formerly UBW/Agresso)

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time position and begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
