Contract Controller at the Traffic Office

The Traffic Office is responsible for managing and developing Stockholm's public spaces, ensuring they are safe, attractive, accessible, and sustainable. The mission includes everything from taking care of the existing urban environment to implementing strategic investment projects and planning for tomorrow's growing metropolis. To accomplish our mission, we are about 470 colleagues, primarily located in the newly renovated premises of the Technical Committee House on Kungsholmen. Together, we ensure that Stockholm continues to be a leading city with sustainable transport solutions and vibrant environments, both today and in the future.
We are now looking for a Contract Controller.

In the Permits Department, about 90 employees work across five units. We operate within a broad and exciting area of activity, where our common denominator is regulatory authority. In the parking unit, we are 15 employees. We are responsible for parking regulation, parking supervision, vehicle relocation, payment systems for parking, and parking permits.
The department's annual revenue of nearly two billion kronor places high demands on us to produce accurate documentation and reliable forecasts. Therefore, we are expanding the unit with a new position as Contract Controller focusing on revenue and forecasts.

Your role
In the role of Contract Controller, your main tasks will include:
- overall responsibility for the permit department's fees and charges
- monitoring revenue development in both parking and land lease
- producing statistics, analyses, and trend observations within parking and public spaces
- developing and working with forecasts and scenarios for revenue development
- following up and evaluating implemented measures
- monitoring contracts
- writing reports and decision-making documents.
You will report to your unit manager. You will collaborate with the department's management team, employees in the parking unit, and controllers in the finance department.
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- a university degree relevant for handling, analyzing, and communicating quantitative data, such as in economics, statistics, demographics, political science, urban planning, or finance
- developed and worked with forecasts and scenarios
- analyzed and presented economic information in an educational manner
- experience working with Excel and other analytical programs
- written high-quality reports
- good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish.
It is an advantage if you have worked in the public sector.
To thrive in this role, you need to have numerical analytical skills and problem-solving abilities. You find it easy to collaborate with others and are accustomed to adapting your communication to your audience. To succeed in the role, you need to be goal- and result-oriented and able to adjust your focus when conditions change. You are development-oriented and have the courage to try new working methods.
