Claims Adjuster with a Focus on Building Damages
We are looking for a claims adjuster with a focus on building damages who is solution-oriented and has the ability to combine objectivity in liability issues with a good approach to our customers. As a claims adjuster, you will be one of two employees who work together to investigate and settle claims against property owners and pursue recourse against insurance companies. The position is located in the Legal Department, which has a total of eight employees.

Every day, year-round, we provide 1.6 million Stockholm residents with clean and good tap water, treat wastewater, and ensure that waste is taken care of. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities include receiving and registering claims directed against the company, leading investigations regarding the damage incident to legally assess liability, and making decisions about potential compensation. Investigations are conducted both individually and in collaboration with other employees of the company, and if necessary, with the help of damage assessment consultants.
As a claims adjuster, you will operate in a wide area where each damage and customer is unique.
The work also includes administrative tasks and reserving incoming claims. Claims adjusters also assist other operations in the company by directing claims for the company's account.
The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probationary period, located at the headquarters in Ulvsunda, Bromma.
Examples of Job Responsibilities:
- Have direct contact with affected customers
- Conduct liability investigations for reported damages
- Economically settle damages and negotiate with insurance companies
- Contribute to the development and improvement of work processes within claims adjustment
QUALIFICATIONS
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and are looking for someone who is confident in their role and has the ability to quickly understand complex cases of varying nature. You work in a structured and independent manner while being able to prioritize and maintain high quality even during periods of high workload. You have a solution-oriented approach and take responsibility for your cases from start to finish. With good judgment, you make well-founded decisions and act proactively when the situation requires it. In your contact with customers, you combine objectivity and professionalism with an empathetic and trust-building approach.
Furthermore, you are communicative and collaborative, with the ability to create good relationships both internally and externally. You express yourself clearly and pedagogically and contribute to effective and positive collaboration within the team.
To succeed in this position, you have:
- Education in claims adjustment/tort law or equivalent competence acquired through several years of experience in the field.
- At least two years of experience working with claims in the insurance industry or experience in adjusting building damages.
- Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
- Experience with customer contacts.
- Familiarity with case management systems.
- Driver's license (B).
Building technical or water technical competence is an advantage.
