The Culture and Leisure Administration manages and oversees the municipality's cultural and leisure facilities such as libraries, youth centers, cultural schools, theaters, and sports facilities. We also provide services and grants to associations within the municipality.

At the Cultural School in Varberg, we work for a strong whole and that each student receives the best possible encounter with their cultural expression. The activities are aimed at all children and young people aged 5-20 years, and our guiding principles are creativity and development. The Cultural School employs 40 people, and most subjects are represented. Teaching is conducted both individually and in groups in the Cultural School's premises at Rosenfred and throughout the municipality, in collaboration with primary schools.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a brass music teacher at the Cultural School in Varberg, you will teach children and young people aged 5-20 years. You will teach students individually and in groups. You are part of a subject team but collaborate across several teams, and you participate in the Cultural School's joint projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

Music teacher degree, focus on brass/trumpet or equivalent education

Experience teaching children and young people

Driver's license (B)

Digital competencies in music notation software are advantageous.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for someone who is outgoing, motivated, creative, and has good collaboration and communication skills.

OTHER

Part-time 20%, i.e., one day/week, preferably scheduled on Wednesdays.
