Academy of Information Technology

The University consists of four interdisciplinary academies, and the current position is located at the Academy of Information Technology (ITE). ITE is a multicultural academy with about 130 employees from around twenty countries. It is a strong research and educational environment focusing on smart technology and its applications. Here, students and researchers work on everything from AI and information-driven healthcare to self-driving vehicles, social robotics, and digital design. ITE offers education at the undergraduate, advanced, and doctoral levels, as well as professional development for practitioners. Research is conducted in conscious intelligent systems, smart electronic systems, cyber-physical systems, and digital service innovation. These four areas constitute ITE's four technology domains. The academy also includes the innovation center Leap for Life and a collaboration arena for electronics development, the Electronics Center in Halmstad (ECH).

Description

The position is a part-time (15%) fixed-term position for approximately 10 months. The role involves course development, planning, and teaching in the master's program in experience design on topics related to participatory design within complex ecosystems, game design, as well as ethics and social transformation in environments with various types of stakeholders. A background in design, cognitive science, the use of game design for systemic design and service design, and systemic design of experiences within complex ecosystems such as healthcare is required.

Teaching will take place in the following courses:

• IK8041 Design ethics
• IK8036 Designing experiences
• IK8039 Experience design studio

Eligibility Requirements

• Master's degree in Scandinavian Informatics or a related social science subject
• Teaching experience in Scandinavian Informatics or a related social science subject at the master's level in experience design, cognitive science, game design, and participatory design.
• Ability to teach in English is a requirement.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience in design within health and healthcare
• Experience in design work within complex ecosystems
• Experience in participatory design
• Experience in teaching ethics in design, design in health and healthcare, and social transformation

The employment is a fixed-term position for about 10 months at 15%.
