The position will be filled on the condition that the regular teacher begins studies, and other start and end dates can be decided in dialogue depending on your circumstances.

We are looking for an engaged teacher for the Electrical and Energy Program. The role of a teacher with us means that you, together with your colleagues, plan and conduct teaching in the electrical and energy program, both theoretically and practically.

It is a prerequisite that you enjoy working with young people. You clarify the goals of the teaching and communicate these in an understandable way for the students while assessing their achievement and grading according to the curriculum. As a mentor, you have an important role in supporting students by having a good understanding of their needs, following their studies, and actively working to help them achieve their high school diploma. You build strong relationships with students and have regular contact with guardians to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

Through collaboration with school leadership and colleagues, you contribute to creating a positive school environment where students thrive, develop, and achieve their goals. You actively participate in various collegial contexts where you both share and develop your subject knowledge as well as your pedagogical and didactic skills. To thrive in the role, it is important that you actively participate in the subject team’s work and appreciate collaborating with colleagues, students, and other staff at the high school. Together, you work to create the best conditions for each student's success.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who currently works as a vocational teacher or works in the industry as an installation electrician or industrial electrician. If you have a teaching license and subject competence, it is an advantage, but not a requirement. The most important thing for us is that you have the right professional competence and the personal qualities required to succeed in the role of teacher. Experience working with young people in some form is also an advantage. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Please specify your qualifications in your application.

You are expected to use digital tools naturally in your teaching and planning and see them as an obvious part of your pedagogical work. You are motivated by supporting others' learning and creating good conditions for knowledge to develop.
