The Role of Art and Craft Teacher with Us

As an art teacher at the Cultural School, you contribute to a culture where we collectively take responsibility, inspire, collaborate, and support each other.

In your daily work, you collaborate and engage with students, parents, and colleagues at the Cultural School. The work is primarily conducted during children's and young people's free time, that is, in the afternoons and evenings.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who sees play as an essential part of the educational process. You have the ability to reflect on your own contributions and possess creative courage. You actively work to build and develop the Cultural School's activities together with your colleagues.

As a person, you enjoy working well with others and are accommodating and attentive in your interactions. You create new contacts as well as maintain your current working relationships. You are meticulous, take responsibility for, and independently drive your work forward towards set goals. You deliver results and prioritize your work effectively. You adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You take your own initiatives and bring new perspectives to work-related issues. You are curious and enjoy exploring new areas together with students and colleagues. You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

• has artistic and pedagogical education.
• has experience teaching at various levels and with children of different ages.
• can teach in various materials and techniques.

It is an advantage if you:

• master different types of crafts in ceramics, textiles, wood/metal, and digital design.

The Cultural School in Kungsbacka is a voluntary and fee-based activity, open to all children and young people aged 5-20 in Kungsbacka municipality. We offer children and young people the opportunity to experience creation in the form of music, dance, art, film, and theater. Currently, there are about 2,000 participating students and approximately 55 employees in the organization.

The vision of the Cultural School is to attract and offer a place for all children and young people. Our Offer and Additional Information

We offer a parental substitute position for one year. The extent can be discussed but at least 40% and at most 80%, starting in early March 2026, or by agreement. Interviews will take place during weeks 3 and 4.
