Buaskolan is located in the picturesque Väröhalvön, about 20 km north of Varberg. The school gathers approximately 190 students in grades F-6, and it has a mixed-age after-school program with about 90 enrolled students.

Our educators work collaboratively every week on teaching development in various areas to adjust our teaching so that it benefits our students as much as possible. Our goal is to be a school accessible to all students where they can develop as far as possible towards both social and academic goals. Safety and well-being are important focuses that always lie at the forefront of planning all activities.

In our facilities, children and young people have the opportunity to develop with peers while being surrounded by students from preschool to grade 6. Buaskolan has a well-developed learning environment with easy access to outdoor activities. Multi-arena, playgrounds, forest, and beach. The after-school facilities also inspire learning and play.

The activities in our after-school program are compensatory, where teaching is based on play and the students' need for learning and stimulation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Together with colleagues at the school, you will plan and implement activities for the after-school program as well as teaching within the school's framework. Together with the team, you will plan and follow up on the after-school activities based on your chosen pedagogical and didactic strategies and methods, tailored to the students' needs and conditions. You will meet each student in their knowledge progression and contribute to developing learning environments that encourage students' learning, participation, and influence.

The position is a temporary contract for the spring term.

QUALIFICATIONS

We see that you have:

• Teaching certification with authorization for after-school programs.
• Experience working with children and youth, preferably in schools or after-school programs.
• Good collaboration skills and a professional approach.
• The ability to create good relationships and meet students with respect, patience, and attentiveness.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability for working in after-school programs.
