The Green Party's national office is looking for a political advisor focused on climate and energy

We are seeking a temporary political advisor responsible for climate and energy policy at the Green Party's parliamentary office.

Your task

As a political advisor, you will work with responsible members of parliament to develop and drive the party's policies in your areas of responsibility. You will be part of a team of eight political advisors led by the office's policy chief. You will also collaborate closely with other political advisors as well as our press secretaries and communicators. In this role, you will also work with municipal and regional politicians and with the Green Party's office in the European Parliament.

Your tasks include developing talking points and argumentation materials within your areas of responsibility, creating materials and ideas for new initiatives and reforms in your areas, and writing follow-up motions on government proposals in parliament. You will support parliamentary work and be part of our preparations for the election campaign.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with solid experience in policy work and policy development. We prefer candidates with experience in opinion formation and government or agency work, particularly in climate and energy issues. You have a good ability to build trust, are meticulous, and can work both independently and in close collaboration with members of parliament and colleagues. You can prioritize and drive work towards set goals and have a very good understanding of policy development and opinion formation. Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, are an asset, as are good social skills to create a functioning and creative collaborative environment. We prefer candidates with higher education at the university level. You naturally share the values of the Green Party, although prior engagement or membership in the Green Party is not necessary.

Job description

The position is a temporary replacement for a parental leave employee. You are expected to start work on April 1 or another date early in April 2026. The temporary position extends until January 31, 2027. The position covers 100 percent of a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week and is located at the Green Party's national office in the Swedish Parliament.
