For over 20 years, Gryning has offered HVB and outpatient care for children, adolescents, and families, emergency and family homes, addiction care, supported apartments, interventions against honor-related violence and oppression, as well as LSS housing. We provide counseling and training and assist with placements. Gryning is owned by the municipalities in Västra Götaland through the four municipal associations.

The Heder & Skydd unit offers, on behalf of social services, to investigate and assess protection needs and provide protection and care to individuals who need placement due to an external threat. Our main target group is adolescents aged 14-18 who are exposed to or at risk of honor-related violence and oppression. These adolescents are placed in our protected HVB. We also have the opportunity to offer protection to adults in our apartments around Skaraborg, where the reasons for the need for protection can vary, ranging from honor to violence in close relationships or connections to gang crime or other types of crime.

We are now looking for a new employee for a permanent position as a protection officer with treatment responsibility at our protected HVB. The position is a 100% daytime position where you are responsible for the individual treatment of the placed adolescents. Together with colleagues who work on a schedule, you will work in a team around each adolescent through case management. The work includes treatment conversations, contact with social services and other professionals, establishing and revising implementation plans and monthly reports. You will also support the operations with regular work at HVB based on a milieu therapeutic organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

What does the position entail?

You are the contact person for all enrolled adolescents at our protected HVB, a maximum of 6 adolescents. The position involves close collaboration with each adolescent's other contact person, but since you are on duty Monday to Friday, it will be natural for you to have overall responsibility for each individual adolescent's treatment content. This requires independence, security in the professional role, and experience in treatment and/or protection in an honor context. In addition to colleagues who work on a schedule, you have a coordinator and management present on-site every day to assist you. The position also includes taking overall structural responsibility for the unit's methods and treatment content. You will guide colleagues and drive our development and quality work forward together with the coordinator and management. We primarily work based on Milieu Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, and Taping.

QUALIFICATIONS

Who are you?

This is a position for you who have many years of experience in social work and now want new challenges. You have several years of experience from HVB or other treatment work. You feel secure in meeting adolescents in crisis, resistance, acting out, and those with poor mental health. You understand the processes that occur at HVB both in each adolescent, in the adolescent group, and in the staff group. It is an advantage if you have prior knowledge in protection and honor, but it is not a requirement. The most important thing is that you are genuinely interested in working with the target group and that you feel secure in qualified treatment work at HVB.

We are looking for someone with a university degree in social work or at least 2 years of post-secondary education in the behavioral sciences. A valid driver's license (B) is required.
