Residential Assistant at Victor Housing

Victor Housing is a reinforced collective accommodation aimed at creating an operation based on harm reduction work in line with the conclusions of the Co-Morbidity Investigation.

The accommodation provides 36 places. There are no requirements for sobriety or drug-free status for residents. The facility is within walking distance from Radiomotet, making it easy to reach by public transport.

By having multiple services on-site, opportunities arise to create synergy effects and a cohesive chain around the target group. Examples of services include LARO, needle exchange programs, and various actors from the non-profit sector. Collaboration between different actors is necessary to meet the needs of the target group and creates opportunities to develop and test new pathways together with external partners. The City Mission provides meals and develops the meal as a meeting place. Skyddsvärnet runs a project with Housing Representatives as a link when our residents transition to other housing forms. Smedjan offers opportunities for employment.

The team at the accommodation consists of 1 unit manager, 2 method supervisors, 6 night staff, and 13 treatment assistants. We aim to create a workgroup and culture that is engaged both in the daily work directed at our target group and in developing this new form of operation forward. We want a workgroup that supports each other, listens to colleagues' ideas and suggestions, and together ensures a fun and developing workplace. We have an ongoing collaboration with the University of Gothenburg, so we will be a constantly evolving operation and want you to be a part of it.

Job Responsibilities

As a treatment assistant at the accommodation, you will work with individuals experiencing homelessness and active drug use, with or without mental health issues. Tasks vary from mapping conversations and support talks to resident intake and collaboration with other professional actors regarding cases. Social documentation is an important part of implementing the housing intervention, and we use the data system Treserva. The responsible contact person establishes a plan of action together with the resident, which is continuously followed up.

Qualifications

A fundamental requirement for the position is that you have vocational training as a social pedagogue or a university degree as a social worker or other university/higher education that the employer deems equivalent. To take on the role, you also need to have experience with the target group or experiences that the employer assesses as equivalent.

A driving license (B) is an advantage.

Working hours are scheduled during days, evenings, and weekends, and you will work 38.25 hours per week.
