Malmö District Court is one of the largest district courts in the country. Together with other courts in the country, the district court forms the foundation of the judiciary and is a cornerstone of the democratic society.

Our core operations are organized into four divisions: three divisions that handle criminal cases and civil cases, as well as a dedicated criminal division. We also have an administrative division that supports the core operations.

At the court, we are about 160 employees who work together to maintain a legally secure and efficient administration of justice of high quality. The organization conducts continuous operational development, and our workplace is characterized by commitment, responsibility, and participation.

Malmö District Court is now seeking at least one security guard to be placed in the security and internal service unit. The employment is a permanent position, full-time. We apply a 6-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible by agreement.

The work involves

As a security guard at Malmö District Court, you, together with other security guards, will have the following tasks:

• Staff the security control at the entrance together with hired security guards. The security control includes x-ray equipment.
• Staff the monitoring center of the court building.
• Staff our premises at the Justice Center. The Justice Center includes a detention room and southern Sweden's security room, where cases with special security requirements are adjudicated.
• Maintain order and create safety in the court's public areas and during hearings.
• Manage keys, access systems, camera systems (CCTV), alarms, and visitor procedures.
• Participate in systematic fire protection work.
• Internal service, local supervision, technical issues, etc.

As a security guard at the district court, you will collaborate with your manager and other security guards on safety and security work internally with other staff, and externally with other authorities such as the Police, the Prosecution Authority, and the Prison and Probation Service.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a completed upper secondary education and a valid security guard permit. Good color vision is a requirement. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

You are an experienced computer user and have the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and installation of computers and printers. Experience or education in fire and health care issues, IT and technical issues, or experience working with camera and other security systems is an advantage.

Experience in administrative work is also an advantage.

As a person, you have the ability to see the big picture and prioritize your work accordingly. You quickly absorb new knowledge and use your knowledge flexibly. You learn from experiences and feedback from your surroundings and are aware of your strengths and areas for development. Furthermore, you work constructively even in pressured situations and take initiatives within your work framework. You have good collaboration skills, are communicative, and have an appropriate and respectful demeanor. The work requires that you are unpretentious and can work both independently and in a group. We have high demands for responsibility, judgment, and accuracy.
