JOB DESCRIPTION

The control and preparedness organization of the probation service is a relatively new part of the probation service's operations, tasked with managing controls for clients under electronic supervision as well as attendance checks for clients sentenced to community service. You will be part of the execution of various forms of controls or other necessary measures in the different enforcement forms of the probation service and will have the opportunity to participate in the design of the control organization.

You will work together with probation inspectors and other correctional officers, and it is important that you thrive in a flexible and dynamic environment. There is a strong focus on security-enhancing tasks, and you will staff the access control for secure entry to our office as well as other security-related tasks such as monitoring clients serving sentences under intensive supervision with electronic control. Your tasks will be performed both in the probation service's premises and out in the field.

QUALIFICATIONS

Your personal qualities are important, and to succeed in the role of correctional officer, you need to be secure, stable, have good self-awareness, sound judgment, and integrity. Together with your colleagues, you will drive the operations, so you need to have good collaboration skills and be clear in your communication. You need to be able to plan and prioritize your work and drive your processes forward independently. As a person, you are calm and professional even in demanding situations and have the ability to adapt to changing conditions.

Requirements:

• Complete upper secondary education or other education combined with work experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant.
• Approved correctional officer training
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language
• Good computer skills
• Driver's license B

It is meritorious if you have:

• Work experience in social care, psychiatry, healthcare, conflict management, security work
• Experience in security control/access
• Relevant language skills

Some positions are placed in a security class, and a security assessment with a background check will be conducted before a hiring decision is made. For positions with a higher security class, you need to be a Swedish citizen, but you may have a foreign background.
