Räddningstjänsten Syd is the fire service for the municipalities of Burlöv, Eslöv, Kävlinge, Lund, and Malmö. Our mission is to prevent accidents and to quickly and effectively carry out rescue operations of various kinds. Every day, our employees make interventions that impact other people's lives. The emergency center is responsible for alerting and overseeing rescue operations in 21 of Skåne's 33 municipalities. At the emergency center, duty officers, emergency call and control officers, and emergency call and control operators work together to support ongoing rescue operations and lead resources in the area. We work with alerting rescue resources, contingency planning, communication to the public and media during incidents, and collaboration with other actors in the damage control work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As an emergency call and control operator at Räddningstjänsten Syd, you will handle incoming 112 calls and support the caller with advice, dispatch appropriate resources, and assist ongoing operations. In this role, you will have significant opportunities to influence and, together with your colleagues, drive improvements. You will communicate via RAKEL, telephone, and video telephony and seek the information required to support the operation. The work involves many collaborative contacts, such as SOS Alarm, Region Skåne, the Swedish Transport Administration, and the Police Authority. You will work alongside emergency call and control officers and duty officers who manage the overall leadership of the federation's and affiliated fire services' rescue operations.
In the role of emergency call and control operator, you will work in an environment where every second counts, and where your calmness and ability to maintain focus under pressure are crucial. With your strong communication skills, you will ensure that the right information reaches the right people at the right time.
The positions involve shift work, including weekends, according to a specific schedule. Periodically, the position may include daytime work with tasks such as development work or training.

QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in this role, you need:
- Swedish citizenship: This is a requirement to ensure the security aspects of our operations.
- High school diploma: A basic educational level that prepares you for the various tasks.
- Good communication: You are fluent in Swedish in both spoken and written form and can express yourself clearly and effectively.
- Computer skills: You are comfortable navigating various digital systems and are used to using a computer as a tool in your daily work.
- Driver's license (B): To facilitate transportation and movement when needed.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The position is a permanent employment where a probationary period may apply. You will be based at our emergency center at Hyllie fire station in Malmö.
Welcome with your application by January 20th. Please respond to the selection questions when you submit your application and attach your CV. Please note that we have removed the personal letter from the application process and replaced it with selection questions. Your answers will be an important part of our selection process. After the application deadline, we will make an initial selection and invite candidates to a recruitment meeting where you will meet some of our emergency call and control operators. Recruitment meetings will take place in the evening on January 28th and 29th. During these meetings, you will receive more information about what the position entails, have the opportunity to ask questions, and participate in a short individual conversation with us.
After the recruitment meeting, we will make a selection and invite a number of candidates for an interview. Before the interview, you will complete a digital personality test and a cognitive performance test in problem-solving ability that you need to finish before the interview takes place. At the interview, you will also complete a practical test in technical capacity and stress tolerance.
As an emergency call and control operator at Räddningstjänsten Syd, you will perform security-classified tasks, and therefore you will need to undergo a security clearance.
