Tax Officer for the Corporate Tax Department

About the job

You will work with the taxation of companies but also provide service and guidance on issues related to income declarations. The work includes case management, investigations, and service. The work is varied, and there is an opportunity to develop competence in many areas. As an officer, you are an important part of helping our customers understand and manage their situation and ensure correct taxation. Through your contact with our customers, you contribute to strengthening trust in our operations. You plan your own workday and drive your cases both independently and in collaboration with others. You work in a team, close to your colleagues, and you give and receive support from each other. You also contribute to our work with continuous improvements in everyday life and choose effective solutions. You think innovatively, dare, and act. You have flexible working hours, and it is a given for us that you should have a balance between work and leisure.

You belong to Corporate Tax Unit 2 in the Corporate Tax Department, located in Umeå. The unit consists of approximately 150 employees distributed across 8 sections. We are located in Gävle, Luleå, Falun, Skellefteå, Umeå, Hudiksvall, Örnsköldsvik, Kiruna, and Lycksele. The unit is responsible for corporate taxation of small and medium-sized enterprises.

You should also have:

• a completed university education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits) in economics or law.

It is desirable that you have relevant and current work experience in economics, accounting, or bookkeeping, alternatively relevant and current work experience in case management at the Swedish Tax Agency.

Good to know

The employment is permanent and may begin with a six-month probationary period.

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
