The Department of Culture and Media Studies is announcing a position for a teaching assistant in museology.

Job Responsibilities

As a teaching assistant, you will assist the subject with tasks related to both teaching and administration. This may involve planning and organizing teaching activities as well as participating and assisting in course development, study visits, and seminars.

Eligibility

To be eligible for employment as a teaching assistant, you must be admitted to education at the undergraduate or graduate level according to Chapter 5, Section 10 of the Higher Education Act. Applicants must be able to present proof of admission to such education by the time the employment decision is made. The holder of the position should be a student throughout the entire employment period.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with previous study experience in the subject area of the announcement. You have a good ability to communicate and express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English. You are service-oriented, responsible, and independent in your work. You have good collaboration and planning skills. Great emphasis will be placed on previous academic results and prior work experience. Personal suitability will also be considered.

Additional Information

The position comprises 20% of full-time, approximately 8 hours per week, with a start date of 2026-02-01 or by agreement, until 2026-06-07. The position is located in Umeå, and the workplace will be provided at the department.
