About the Organization

The Department of Sustainable Development is an operation within Region Värmland that contributes to the organization meeting future societal challenges with relevant and value-creating services.

The solutions we develop should be economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable. We work with various organizations, both within and outside Region Värmland, including the municipalities of the county, non-profit organizations, and Karlstad University. Through the Experio Lab network, we also participate in national assignments and collaborate with other regions and organizations outside the county.

Innovation Unit

The Innovation Unit is a group of development leaders and service designers working with development, innovation, and design with the goal that everyone in Värmland should thrive and that our region should be attractive and competitive. We now need to expand our team, preferably with different experiences and backgrounds than those we currently have. We advocate for diversity and want to highlight differences as the societal challenges we address require various perspectives. Our work is characterized by trust, respect, and humility. We work closely with our clients and prefer to work cross-functionally, which brings more perspectives and strength to our assignments. We strive for a high degree of participation from users and the organizations we collaborate with.

Job Description

You will work on both strategic and operational assignments. Part of the job involves increasing the innovation, development, and digitalization capacity of others, for example, through guidance, training, and working in joint processes. You will also contribute to development processes by facilitating processes and leading workshops. In many assignments, we work with visualization support and process mapping.

You will work in parallel processes, and therefore you need to be able to adapt and move between different contexts and different clients, making the work varied and flexible. The common denominator for our way of working is that it is based on a distinct user- and needs-driven approach. We see that value is created in the meeting between users and the services we offer.

Qualifications

Relevant academic education with an emphasis on development management, change management, service design, or equivalent as assessed by the employer, along with three years of work experience is required.

Our assignments vary, and we therefore need different competencies in our team. To thrive with us, you should be curious about people, their motivations, and abilities, and have experience in change management in collaboration with others.

It is important for us that you can:

  • Understand and interpret complex tasks.
  • Sort, evaluate, and prioritize challenges.
  • Plan your work both individually and collaboratively with others.
  • Handle and use various digital tools as needed.
