We are now looking for a junior developer who wants to embark on a real startup journey. Our client is a fast-growing tech company redefining how biodiversity is measured through sound. With nature recordings, large-scale data pipelines, and self-developed AI models, they create insights that are used in real decisions – by researchers, companies, and organizations worldwide. Customer demand is exploding, and we are now looking for someone who wants to take full ownership of the web platform. Here, it’s not about having many years of experience; we are looking for someone who is driven and considers themselves a smart problem solver.

As a product-owning Software Engineer, you will build and own the entire chain from uploaded sound data to delivered AI results. This involves robust data pipelines, scalable infrastructure, and a product experience that actually works in reality – not just in the lab.

You will work extremely closely with the founding team and help shape both technology choices and the product's direction. There are no silos and no ready-made answers here – you identify problems, solve them, and automate them away for good.

You do not work from finished specifications. Instead, you help define what should be built and why. The code you write is business-critical and is used daily to ensure that the AI models deliver reliable insights from large amounts of sound data.

This means that you will:

• Build and own data pipelines
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS
• Automate workflows and internal processes
• Work closely with the CTO/technical lead on product and technology decisions
• Ensure that the systems are stable, scalable, and easy for customers to use

• Loves to code and develop and has personal projects going on most of the time
• Takes ownership of what they do and is proud of their work
• Has experience working/writing thesis projects in a startup environment and thrives in a fast-paced setting
• Is a creative problem solver who enjoys new and undefined challenges
• Wants to build something new, meaningful, and with real impact
• A recent graduate with experiences during school works very well for this role - the most important thing is that you want to work in a fast-paced environment

• Good knowledge of Python (automation, backend, scripting)
• Experience with AWS and cloud-based infrastructure
• Knowledge of JavaScript/React
