The Department of Children and Education in Vimmerby municipality is responsible for all educational activities, from preschool to university, and also oversees Swedish for immigrants (SFI) and community orientation for newcomers. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a resource teacher with us, you are a key person for students in need of special support in their school everyday life, and you play an important role in supporting and promoting learning and well-being among our students. Your task is to create good conditions for students' development and learning, as well as to provide security and structure in everyday life. You work closely with our teachers and serve as a resource in the classroom while also providing individual support to individual students. You work to create a positive and safe atmosphere both inside and outside the classroom. In collaboration with other staff at the school, you work to create the best conditions for students, guardians, and colleagues to thrive and feel secure in the school's activities.

The position includes teaching home economics. You will teach the subject for two sessions in grade 7 and one session in grade 6.

As a subject teacher in home economics, you are responsible, together with your colleagues, for planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational work at your workplace. You are well-versed in the curriculum for compulsory school and accustomed to working with applicable goals and quality standards within the compulsory school activities.

You are a good role model and follow the norms and values set forth in the curriculum for compulsory school and contribute to fulfilling the mission of compulsory school with high quality. Your task is to promote each student's learning and development, as well as to create the best conditions for students, guardians, and colleagues to thrive and feel secure in the school's activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed teacher in home economics with the qualification to teach grades 7-9. You have good insight into the curriculum for compulsory school and preferably experience in the teaching profession. We prefer that you have experience teaching at the secondary level.

As a person, you are a confident leader who creates motivation and engagement among students and colleagues. You are attentive, open, and contribute to a positive collaborative climate where problems are solved constructively. You have the ability to build good and trusting relationships with both students and guardians as well as colleagues. Furthermore, we see that you are a responsible person who is used to planning and structuring your work effectively. At the same time, you are creative and are happy to contribute new ideas to develop both the work and the organization as a whole.
