Your role According to our educational framework, we work with the individual at the center. In the role of teacher, you will plan, implement, and follow up on your teaching and the students' learning. It is also important to create a close collaboration with the guardians of the students and other important people in the students' network.  

You take an active role and develop the operations together with the entire school team. 

About Kalmar Centrumskola

Kalmar Centrumskola is centrally located in Kalmar. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the train and bus station. The city center of Kalmar is about a 5-minute walk away. The school is a resource school with limited intake for students with extensive needs for special support. Our students primarily have difficulties related to autism but often have additional neuropsychiatric disabilities. The school has approximately 45 students.

Kalmar Centrumskola has smaller teaching groups/classes in grades 5-9 and high staff density. We work in teams divided into two work teams and two floors.

We focus on each student's strengths and abilities. We work based on the student's needs to adapt their school day. Teaching and other activities during the school day are fully individualized based on the student's abilities, strengths, needs, and daily condition. Our fundamental view is that our students, with the right support, can achieve anything. We work with clear pedagogy and low-affect responses. Our goal is always for the student to meet the knowledge requirements.

Your experience and knowledge We are looking for someone who, with great enthusiasm and knowledge of special education, helps students grow, develop, and absorb knowledge. You are a certified teacher in mathematics, natural sciences, and technology for grades 4-9. Special educational competence and experience working with students with disabilities are meritorious. As a person, you are structured, unpretentious, and flexible. You have a clear and low-affect approach. We place great importance on personal suitability.
