About the Position

The job involves exciting and varied tasks where you, as an instructor in technology and agriculture, participate in teaching technology and agricultural subjects. This means that you independently or together with others instruct students in, for example, tractor driving, autumn and spring cultivation, service, and repair tasks. You are an important part of the school's pedagogical team and contribute to students developing both practical vocational skills and a safe approach to work. You collaborate with the school's teachers in agriculture and construction machinery and participate in the development work in agricultural education.

In this role, you are also responsible for parts of the school's machinery fleet within agricultural education. The position also includes some repair and service of the school's machines and equipment and handling contacts regarding larger repairs and services.

About You 

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with young people and thrives in the role of leading others to development. You are independent and structured and enjoy working both individually and in groups. You have a strong safety mindset and are pedagogical and clear in your communication. You have the ability to inspire and engage young people and a strong interest in teaching. You have some experience with computers and can follow up and report results using digital tools.

Qualifications: 

• Good experience in operating machinery and competence in repairing agricultural machines. Experience with tractors and wheel loaders is essential.
• Experience in the industry through work in agriculture.
• Experience working with young people is also an advantage.
• A valid driver's license (B) is required. 
• Professional certificates from TYA/BYN for forklifts and wheel loaders are advantageous. Also, welding, BE, CE, and ADR.

Start Date 2026-03-30 or by agreement. The position is a one-year contract with the possibility of extension.

About Gamlebygymnasiet

Gamlebygymnasiet is located in a picturesque environment close to Gamleby center and near transport links, about 20 kilometers north of Västervik. With about 50 employees and 200 students, of which more than half live in the school's boarding school, the school is a dynamic and vibrant place for learning within the green industries.
