Main Responsibilities

In the role of network technician, you will work with the operation, management, and development of network infrastructure with high demands for availability and IT security. It involves a wide range of network-related tasks. This may include configuration and troubleshooting of environments consisting of firewalls, routers, switches, and cryptographic systems. Revising technical documentation and reporting and documenting ongoing and completed work is seen as a natural part of the job. You play an important role in ensuring a well-functioning and updated IT environment together with your colleagues.

Qualifications

You who are applying should have:

• A minimum of a high school education with a focus on IT/Technology and/or equivalent experience.
• Current and relevant knowledge of switches, routers, and network protocols.
• Good knowledge and understanding of networks and IT infrastructure.
• Good ability to communicate verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
• Swedish citizenship.
• Driver's license at least class B.

Meritorious

• Good knowledge of Cisco's networking products.
• Certification in Cisco networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE).
• Knowledge of IT security and access control.
• Knowledge of encryption and certificates.
• Knowledge of logging solutions and monitoring platforms.
• Knowledge of Linux, Windows, and VMware.

Other

The position is a civilian appointment, full-time, permanent, and begins with a 6-month probationary period. The place of employment is Örebro, with immediate start or by agreement. Some travel is included in the job.
