About the job

As a systems technician with us, you will participate in the technical management of our clients. This mainly involves handling cases from users that have been handed over by the service desk to our client grouping. This currently consists of 10 people with different competencies. You will sometimes work together with other technicians in the group regarding the needs related to technical and security development. There are occasions when we need to manage the physical hardware that the section is responsible for, both by receiving from users and distributing, as well as managing registers such as assets.

Your role includes handling cases and contacts, solving problems, and collaborating with other groups within the authority. It is a varied and challenging job that also means you contribute to the section's desire to continuously deliver better and more stable services to the authority's users.

Our section, Digital Workplace, consists of over 25 people and is tasked with providing the authority's approximately 2,500 users with a functioning IT workplace, such as PCs (hardware and software), telephony services, meeting services, and printing services, etc.

You will

• work with various parts of the services we have within the section, primarily within the client area
• solve problems and handle cases in 3rd line support
• perform advanced troubleshooting
• collaborate with other groups within the authority on various improvement areas.

You must have

• at least a high school education in IT or equivalent knowledge/experience that we assess as equivalent
• at least 2 years of current experience in client work and support
• knowledge of and experience working with SCCM
• good knowledge of Windows client OS.

It is advantageous if you also have

• experience in client work from an IT security perspective
• experience in communicating with users regarding their client problems and meeting their needs
• experience working with IT in a public organization (e.g., state, municipality, or region).

The employment is permanent with placement in Örebro. Appointment according to agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.

About Transportstyrelsen

Number of employees: Approximately 2000.

Areas of operation: Transportstyrelsen works to achieve good accessibility, high quality, safe, and environmentally friendly transport within rail, aviation, shipping, and road. We develop regulations, grant permits, and monitor compliance. With the help of our registers, we work with fees, permits, and ownership transfers.

About the IT department

The IT department consists of five units with associated sections. We are about 300 employees.

We support all departments within Transportstyrelsen both strategically and operationally in IT matters. We work with architecture, system development, management, and operation of IT systems as well as infrastructure.
