About the unit
FMTIS has four execution units (GE) in Sweden that perform maintenance of the Armed Forces' command systems in the IT and telecommunications area, the position is located at GE West. The unit works with the maintenance of the Armed Forces' telecommunications network, electrical/mechanical, radio, sensor, surveillance, and field systems as well as installation, operation, and maintenance of a variety of IT systems. The department in Örebro consists of two groups, one telecommunications and one IT group, totaling about 10 employees.
Main tasks
As an IT technician, you will be part of a workgroup of about 5 people responsible for IT support at Örebro garrison. The work mainly consists of user support and other cases that come in via our case management system, e.g., ordering and incident cases. The tasks include deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT equipment and systems, inventory, managing returns and disposals, as well as reporting ongoing and completed work in relevant support systems. You will also develop and revise technical documentation and document data and telecommunications networks within the department's area of activity. The work is performed both individually and together with others.

Qualifications
- High school education with a focus on IT/data or equivalent knowledge that can be assessed as equivalent by the employer.
- Experience in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, optimization, and configuration of hardware.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Driver's license B.

Meritorious
- Experience working with Windows Server 2016 and later.
- Experience in operating Cisco networks and knowledge of physical data networks.
- Experience working according to ITIL.
- Knowledge of and experience with the Armed Forces' IT systems and IT infrastructure.
Other
Civil permanent employment that may begin with a six-month probationary period. Work location: Örebro. Start: As soon as possible or by agreement. In the Armed Forces, the position is referred to as Operations Engineer.
