You will
- identify and analyze security incidents through IT security monitoring and threat hunting
- manage IT security incidents
- develop detection engineering
- conduct vulnerability assessments
- work with environmental monitoring
- work with the development/management of various security platforms/tools
- participate in various types of exercises (red, blue, and purple team).
You must have
- a post-secondary education in IT, or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way that the employer assesses as equivalent
- work experience in IT security work or as an IT technician within IT infrastructure
- good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
It is meritorious if you also have
- knowledge in one or more areas of IAM, virtualization, Windows, Linux, networks, firewalls, encryption, bash, PowerShell, Python
- worked in a SOC function or in other roles within the cybersecurity field (e.g., CSIRT/CERT)
- experience with SIEM systems (e.g., Splunk, Elastic, or MS Sentinel)
- experience with EDR/NDR/XDR solutions
- competence in IDS/IPS
- worked with vulnerability analysis or penetration testing
- experience with frameworks such as MITRE ATT@CK and Sigma
- relevant education and certifications in IT security.

The employment is permanent with placement in Örebro. Appointment by agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our tasks in a security class, Swedish citizenship is required.

About Transportstyrelsen
Number of employees: About 2000.
Areas of operation: Transportstyrelsen works to achieve good accessibility, high quality, safe, and environmentally friendly transport within rail, aviation, shipping, and road. We develop regulations, grant permits, and monitor compliance. With the help of our registers, we work with fees, permits, and ownership changes.
Locations: We have employees in 12 locations across the country. The largest part of the operations is in Borlänge, Norrköping, and Örebro. The headquarters is located in Norrköping.

About the IT department
The IT department consists of five units with associated sections. We are about 300 employees.
We support all departments within Transportstyrelsen both strategically and operationally in IT matters. We work with architecture, system development, management, and operation of IT systems as well as infrastructure.
