Your Role

Are you an experienced software developer who thrives on technical challenges and is passionate about creating robust and reliable software? Do you want to work with advanced defense systems at the forefront of modern technology? Then this could be the right role for you.

We are looking for an engaged and experienced software developer to participate in an exciting collaborative project within an advanced long-range robotic system. As an important member of our dynamic and agile team, you will be part of the development of an already technically world-leading product here at Saab.

As a software developer, you will play a central role in the further development of an advanced planning system that will be upgraded in terms of both performance and autonomy. The system will in the future be able to handle many times more data and perform more complex data processing while maintaining performance requirements. It will need to be on the edge of what is technically possible today.

Through close collaboration with experienced colleagues, you are expected to contribute to the team with your skills and experience, but you will also receive support and the opportunity to learn and grow into your role. You will be involved throughout the development cycle and be able to engage in various parts of the process, including system work, requirements management, design, testing/verification, troubleshooting, and delivery. You will also have the opportunity to test different roles within our agile methodology and development process. Together, you will be responsible for the software at various levels, from hardware-near to application and user interface.

The position is located in Karlskoga.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology and software who enjoys working in a team. To succeed with us, we believe you are driven by problem-solving and motivated to find effective and sustainable solutions, regardless of the tools used.

• At least five years of experience in software development
• Experience in design work and software architecture
• In-depth knowledge and extensive experience working in C and C++
• Experience with software testing and quality assurance in any of these languages
• Knowledge of and experience with Ada and CUDA is highly meritorious
• Accustomed to working in agile teams and driven by collaboration, development, and knowledge sharing

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
