By working as a test leader in a section that provides support for the IT department's development work, you will contribute to tomorrow's travel and transportation.

You will

• plan, lead, and prioritize the development of support for the authority's testing operations based on needs and strategic direction
• lead and support other employees in their deliveries
• ensure sufficient staffing and relevant competence
• ensure that testing tools and other support materials are managed and maintained throughout their lifecycle
• maintain and develop networks for testers
• monitor the external environment and collaborate with the IT governance unit in developing governance and strategic direction for testing
• support our operations in developing testing strategies, planning, and testing methods
• support agile teams with testing-related competence development initiatives
• monitor testing interests in internal transfers
• if needed and when capacity allows, work in development assignments as a test coach or with strategic test management.

You must have

• academic education/vocational training in the IT field or knowledge acquired in other ways that we assess as equivalent
• current multi-year experience of work in the IT field, specifically in testing
• current experience in leading teams and change assignments
• multi-year experience in test management, testing methods, and test design
• good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form.

It is meritorious if you also have

• experience with modern development methodologies, e.g., containerization, CI/CD
• experience in event-driven architecture testing
• experience in planning and conducting non-functional tests, particularly load and performance testing
• good knowledge of what is required for good testability in IT solutions
• previous experience of testing work in a Microsoft environment, preferably .NET
• experience in test automation.

More information

The employment is permanent with placement in Örebro. Appointment according to agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. As an employee with us, there is an opportunity to work remotely up to three days a week. The needs of the business and the nature of the tasks will determine whether and to what extent this is possible. An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.

About the Transport Agency

Number of employees: About 2000.

Areas of operation: The Transport Agency works to achieve good accessibility, high quality, safe, and environmentally friendly transportation in rail, aviation, shipping, and road. We develop regulations, issue permits, and monitor compliance. With the help of our registers, we work with fees, permits, and ownership transfers.

Locations: We have employees in 12 locations across the country. The largest part of the operation is in Borlänge, Norrköping, and Örebro. The headquarters is located in Norrköping.

About the IT department

The IT department consists of five units with associated sections. We are about 300 employees.

We support all departments within the Transport Agency both strategically and operationally in IT matters. We work with architecture, system development, management, and operation of IT systems as well as infrastructure.
