About the job

As a system administrator within ITSM, you will be responsible for managing, developing, and ensuring the quality of our ITSM tool – so that it effectively, securely, and sustainably supports the needs of the organization. The role combines technical system administration with leadership, where you will have the opportunity to drive improvements and support colleagues in their daily work.

You will

• be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and further development of the Transport Agency's ITSM tool
• ensure that ITIL processes such as incident, problem, change, and request management function according to established routines
• lead and coach the team working with ITSM – including planning, prioritizing, and suggesting skills development
• collaborate with the organization to understand needs and translate them into functionality in the system
• manage and be responsible for permissions and roles as well as information classification of the ITSM tool
• follow up and analyze usage, performance, and areas for improvement
• document system changes, process flows, and user support
• be the contact person for suppliers and internal stakeholders during upgrades, incidents, or change needs.

You as a leader are expected to

• be a driving force in the team's development and work methodology
• create a good atmosphere and structure in the team, even under high pressure
• plan and lead management meetings and contribute to the strategic development of the ITSM support
• educate and support users in the system's functions and best practices.

You must have

• experience in system administration within the ITSM area
• good knowledge of ITIL and its practical application
• experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or HaloITSM
• experience in team leadership or work management within IT or system administration
• the ability to work structured, independently, and solution-oriented
• good communication skills and experience documenting technical solutions.

It is meritorious if you also have

• good technical competence – understanding of programming, integrations, server management, and client management
• basic competence in SQL, REST API, and PowerShell
• experience working in infrastructure and operations within the IT field
• experience working in large and complex organizations
• experience in security-sensitive operations
• knowledge of IT and information security.

About the Transport Agency

Number of employees: Approximately 2000.

Areas of operation: The Transport Agency works to achieve good accessibility, high quality, safe, and environmentally friendly transport within rail, aviation, shipping, and road. We develop regulations, grant permits, and follow up on compliance. With the help of our registers, we work with fees, permits, and ownership changes.

Locations: We have employees in 12 locations across the country. The largest part of the operations is in Borlänge, Norrköping, and Örebro. The headquarters is located in Norrköping.

About the IT department

The IT department consists of five units with associated sections. We are about 300 employees.

We support all departments within the Transport Agency both strategically and operationally in IT matters. We work with architecture, system development, management, and operation of IT systems as well as infrastructure.
