Business Controller for Research Funding

Job Description

As a Business Controller, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and analyzing the finances of grant operations. You will be responsible for following up and analyzing income statements and balance sheets on a monthly basis, as well as preparing materials for reporting to management and boards. You will also work with:

• Application budgets and budgets for granted funds
• Control of donation letters
• Handling questions regarding grants after decisions
• Budget and forecast for the foundations
• Grant forecasting together with management
• Liquidity forecast for granted but unpaid funds
• Follow-up of granted funds
• Communication regarding grants
• Ad hoc tasks

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree in economics and several years of experience in similar tasks. You are analytical, meticulous, and unpretentious, with good knowledge of financial monitoring and analysis. Furthermore, you have high integrity and appreciate contact with colleagues and other partners. You are also skilled in Excel and data analysis. Experience working in foundations or research funding is an advantage.

You will be offered

You will be offered a consulting assignment at a foundation that operates in several areas, primarily focused on funding research and education with a societal benefit. The assignment is a consulting position for 6-9 months full-time, located at the client's office in central Stockholm.
