About the Job

At the bankruptcy supervision, we oversee that the bankruptcy administration is carried out correctly and in accordance with applicable law. Your tasks consist of reviewing final documents in smaller bankruptcies and other documents according to the bankruptcy act. You will also prepare incoming documents and handle administrative tasks. You apply your legal expertise primarily in preparatory work based on applied guidelines and practices. You have daily contact with our clients and other external parties. You may also prepare legal questions together with our experienced lawyers. We are a small process, which means you are expected to participate in the unit's development work. In the coming year, we are preparing for a new bankruptcy procedure that will come into effect on July 1, 2026. This means that our mission will expand, and we will take over several tasks from the country's courts.

Everyone working at the Enforcement Authority contributes to the fight against crime. Your tasks include identifying and preventing attempts at criminal activity and notifying other authorities of suspected crimes. As a preparatory lawyer, you may collaborate with actors in the bankruptcy field on crime prevention issues. You may also detect and report suspected money laundering. This can result in your contribution to ensuring that the Enforcement Authority is not used as a tool for crime.

The placement is in Gothenburg or Örebro.

Your Qualifications:

  • Degree from the law program with at least 270 credits (180 points according to the old system).

It is desirable that you have completed a judicial traineeship.

Good to Know

The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be employed as a lawyer. The Enforcement Authority offers the possibility of remote work by agreement with the employer.

Working in the government means that you follow the state value base. There are also special requirements for judgment, security thinking, and compliance with applicable laws. We ask questions during the interview about any previous criminal activity and deficiencies in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also asked to references. We also collect information about debts registered with the Enforcement Authority, bankruptcy, and business prohibitions. The information obtained is taken into account in the overall assessment of your suitability for the position.

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a hiring decision. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
