We are located at the top of the new Children’s Hospital in a fantastic work environment.

We are staffing to continue receiving patients from all over the country. We see you as a future colleague to our wonderful team.

Gothenburg is one of four centers in Sweden for advanced pediatric and adolescent surgery. As a nursing assistant with us, you will work with pre- and post-operative care of children aged 0-16 years. We have many different diagnoses ranging from congenital malformations to orthopedics and burns. We work closely with five different diagnostic teams.

Our goal is to provide our patients with good care characterized by our teamwork in multidisciplinary teams. The operation encourages engagement and development work for children and families.

What can we offer you?

We at the Pediatric Surgery Department now offer a fixed-term employment for one year with the possibility of extension. When you start with us, you will receive an individually tailored introduction under supervision. Training and drills for acute situations are conducted regularly. Whether you are relatively new to the profession or have worked for a few years, we will ensure that you feel secure in your role to provide the best possible care, and that you become part of our team.

Job responsibilities

In our department, we care for acutely ill children around the clock. We are a highly specialized surgical care department where you, as a nursing assistant, play a significant role in the pre- and post-operative care of the child.

About you

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant. Specialist training focusing on children and youth, experience in pediatric care, and experience in surgical pre- and post-operative care are merits. To thrive with us, you should be flexible and calmly handle unexpected situations. We seek someone with a positive view of people and good collaboration skills. The patient and their family are always at the center to provide the best possible care. Most importantly, you have a genuine interest in working with children and their families.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Interviews are conducted continuously during the advertising period.
