About the workplace

The rehabilitation unit's mission is directed towards individuals enrolled in municipal primary care in ordinary housing, special housing, short-term units, BmSS, and daily activities.

We have a close collaboration with nurses, case managers, home care, and housing staff.

One of our physiotherapists is moving on to new challenges, and therefore we are now looking for a physiotherapist to join one of our teams. The team is responsible for a geographical area within elderly care and functional support. You will be part of a wonderful, committed, and secure work group.

We are located at Ale Senior Center in Älvängen, 20 minutes by commuter train from the central station in Gothenburg.

Job Responsibilities

As a physiotherapist in Ale, you have great opportunities to influence how your work looks and what hours you will work. You will work closely with occupational therapists and in teams with nurses and care staff.

You will be involved in assessment, treatment, functional training, trial and prescription of aids, delegation, and guidance towards care staff. The work includes transfer training for care staff and supervision of students.

In addition to person-centered care, you and your colleagues, together with the manager, are responsible for the development of the operations. Each person has an individual development plan where we together find the right competence development for your needs.

Qualifications

You are a licensed physiotherapist authorized to practice within Swedish health care and have a B driver's license.

We prefer that you have experience working as a physiotherapist within municipal health care. It is advantageous if you have experience working with the target group within functional support. Experience and knowledge of manual transfers and transfers using patient lifts are also advantageous.

You are accustomed to working with IT-based journal systems and have the ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

Our team-based approach requires that you are flexible, responsible, secure in your professional role, and good at collaborating. You also need to have a good ability to independently structure and organize your tasks.
