The hospitals in the west are an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consist of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Hospital, Högsbo Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. About Us

We are looking for a neurologist specialist for our clinic.

The position is organizationally part of the neurological team within the area of Geriatrics, Neurology, and Rehabilitation.

The neurology clinic works with both primary care and inpatient care. The focus of the operation is on patients with epilepsy and Parkinson's disease. The team includes nurses, doctors, neuropsychologists, neurologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, coordinators, and medical secretaries. In our multidisciplinary team, we have the opportunity to collaborate through short processing paths in the care of patients with multiple illnesses.

Angered Hospital (ANS) was completed in 2015. The hospital is a central part of the investment to develop local healthcare for about 100,000 residents in northeastern Gothenburg.

Job Responsibilities

• Specialist care, outpatient only, daytime, Monday-Friday.
• Clinic work.
• Ensure that diagnostics and treatment are conducted according to current guidelines and recommendations.
• Contribute to the professional development of employees.
• Be easily accessible for consultation on neurological conditions.

About You

• Licensed physician with specialist competence in neurology.
• Interest in development and innovation.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Good social skills and collaboration ability are highly valued.
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing is a requirement. Additional language skills are considered an advantage.

The operations at ANS are based on the needs of the patients and should be diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive, and strongly quality-driven. Active tobacco cessation is an important cornerstone of the hospital's health-promoting work.
