Medborgarskolan is a study association that organizes courses and creates meeting places for everyone seeking knowledge, development, and experiences! We are present throughout Sweden, offering courses in languages, arts & crafts, IT, body & soul, navigation, dance & theater, economics & business knowledge, animals & nature, social studies, photography & film, singing & music, food & drink, and technology. We combine enjoyable learning forms with high demands on quality and competence.

Dance Instructors Wanted in the Following Areas:

• DANCE PLAY 4-5 years
• CHILDREN'S BALLET 6-9 years

Levels: beginner - easy continuation

The courses start at the end of January 2025.

There is an opportunity to receive tips from an experienced dance teacher before then, but previous teaching experience in dance is required.

The dance classes are scheduled for Sunday mornings. The dance studio is centrally located in Helsingborg.

Job Responsibilities:

Medborgarskolan is looking for someone who wants to lead courses in the above areas.

Being a leader with us means: you are a self-driven and engaging instructor who is genuinely interested in the subject. At the same time, you are attentive to the participants' interests and needs. Your creativity in the room and regarding the offerings is of great importance! We conduct our course activities with a focus on the participants, and it is important that you are available in terms of time/geography. Your pedagogical ability and your way of instilling trust and security will be tested in various ways in different courses. You have the opportunity to influence our course offerings and may also be able to lead courses in other subjects, even at an advanced level. Some administration is included in the form of attendance lists.

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education and experience in the above dance form.

Experience in previous teaching is desirable.

You should be self-driven, attentive, creative, engaged, and genuinely interested in your subject area. You should also be organized as the job involves some administration of attendance lists, work plans, and sometimes participant contacts outside of class times.
