Your responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include teaching mathematics and science subjects in grades 7-9. Mentoring assignments are also included. The work involves planning, evaluation, and documentation, as well as responsibility for other tasks that are part of the teaching profession.

You will use Schoolsoft as a tool for documentation and student and parent contacts.

Who are you?

We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications to teach grades 7-9 in mathematics and science subjects. Previous teaching experience is an advantage.

As a person, you are creative and have the ability to inspire students, striving to create a positive learning environment. The starting point for your interaction with students is to find the experiences and knowledge that are the student's assets. You enjoy working in multicultural environments and are inspired by new knowledge and experiences.

About us

The Department of Children and Education is responsible for the municipality's preschools, primary schools, secondary schools, adapted schools, and cultural schools. We work together for a learning environment where children, students, and staff succeed. Our common vision is: Everyone should be able to be their best.

Bjärnum School is a K-9 school, which, together with Mala School, forms a principal area. Bjärnum School has about 400 students in grades K-6 and 190 students in grades 7-9. There is a student health team around K-6 and one around 7-9. The leadership consists of a principal and two assistant principals. We work with continuous professional development for teachers and strive to have teams that collaborate closely around students in a grade, just to ensure they truly have the opportunity to be their best.

The school is located about a 15-minute drive north of Hässleholm. There are also good train and bus connections to Bjärnum, where the school is within walking distance from the station.
