What do we offer?

As a teaching assistant at Bjärnum School, you must be able to prioritize the students' best interests in various situations.

You will be offered to work 100% with most hours in school and a few hours in after-school care. You will work to support the students' development and provide them with opportunities to develop good social skills and knowledge.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with experience working in grades F-9. To do a good job, you need to have knowledge of the subjects in elementary school. We seek someone with high relational competence both with students and staff.

You have a very low-arousal approach when you work, and you are capable of helping students academically from grade F to grade 9. As a person, you are flexible, as there may be changes with students moving in or out of the school, which means teaching assistants may need to change positions for the benefit of the organization; all students should receive the support they are entitled to.

It is advantageous if you have a pedagogical background.

You will work with students who have social difficulties, introverted, outwardly aggressive students, and students with NPF (Neuropsychiatric Disorders).

You should share the values and approaches described in our employee and leadership policy.

About us

The Department of Children and Education is responsible for the municipality's preschools, elementary schools, high schools, adapted schools, and cultural schools. We work together to create a learning environment where children, students, and staff succeed. Our shared vision is: Everyone should be able to be their best.

Bjärnum School is a F-9 school, which, together with Mala School, constitutes a principal area. Bjärnum School has about 400 students in grades F-6 and 190 students in grades 7-9. There is a student health team around F-6 and one around 7-9. The leadership consists of a principal and two vice principals. We work with continuous professional development for teachers and strive to have teams that collaborate closely around the students in a grade, just so they can truly have the opportunity to be their best.

The school is located about a 15-minute drive north of Hässleholm. There are also good train and bus connections to Bjärnum, where the school is within walking distance from the station.
