Purchaser at DISAB in Eslöv

As a Technical Purchaser, you will have the operational and strategic responsibility for contacts with suppliers.

You will be responsible for handling and directly managing purchasing matters and will take actions associated with the implementation of projects within the framework of allocated resources and according to set goals.

Reports to the Purchasing Manager.

Your tasks:

As a Technical Purchaser, you will play a central role in ensuring the right suppliers and materials in the production processes.

Your main tasks will include:

• Purchasing technical components such as actuators, motors, hydraulics, vacuum pumps, and similar items as well as other purchasing components
• Purchasing electrical items for our projects
• Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, both existing and new
• Negotiating contracts with selected suppliers
• Requesting quotes, negotiating prices and delivery terms to ensure cost-effective purchases and delivery reliability
• Actively working to minimize the risk of late deliveries by establishing purchasing frameworks, creating ordering parameters, and continuously assessing the company's suppliers; as well as taking action in case of delays
• Continuously evaluating and improving purchasing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs / Streamlining purchases regarding both quality-enhancing measures and increased cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborating closely with production to ensure that purchased items meet our quality requirements, including surface treatments and other technical specifications
• Proposing changes/completions in production operations and quality systems
• Updating our business system Pyramid with prices and delivery times.
• Handling complaints against suppliers

Education

• Post-secondary education in purchasing.

Experience and knowledge

• Previous experience working as a Purchaser in similar companies and/or with technically complex products.
• Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English
• Meritorious if you have experience with the business system Pyramid (but not a requirement)
• You possess good knowledge of Excel

• Good technical understanding of production processes
• Strong negotiation skills, with documented experience of closing contracts with suppliers under pressured conditions
• Ability to work proactively and solution-oriented, especially regarding driving deliveries and finding alternative solutions in case of delays
• Good communication and collaboration skills, as the role involves many internal and external contacts
